ὑποκύπτω ,
A.stoop under a yoke, Μῆδοι ὑπέκυψαν Πέρσῃσι bowed to the Persian yoke, Hdt.1.130, cf. 6.25,109; “κύνες τοῖς ἀνθρώποις ὑποκύπτοντεςAesop.266: abs., of suppliants, bow down, bow low,ἱκετεύουσιν ὑποκύπτοντεςAr.V.555 (anap., where cod.
