Casĭna
A comedy of Plautus, which has come down to us in the form of an abridgment. It is based
upon the
Κληρούμενοι of Diphilus, with the addition of
obscene and vulgar passages to suit the Roman taste. A good separate edition is that of
Geppert
(Berlin, 1866), and that of Schöll
(Leipzig, 1890).
