Galeomyomachia

Γαλεομυομαχία). “The Battle of the Cats and
Mice;” a poem written in the mock-heroic vein by a Greek monk, Theodorus Prodromus
(q. v.), who lived in the twelfth century A.D. It is in the main imitated from the pseudo-Homeric
Batrachomyomachia
(q.v.). An edition of it was published by Ilgen
(Halle, 1796).
