Attu,

One of the Aleutian Islands, the most westerly point of the United States. It lies 400 miles from Kamchatka. Calling Attu the western extremity of the United States. the city of San Francisco, Cal., is near the middle of its geographical extent east and west, the territories of the United States stretching through 120 degrees of longitude.
