Gardner, Thomas 1724-

Military officer; born in Cambridge, Mass., in 1724; was a member of the committee of safety in 1775, and in the same year raised a regiment in accordance with instructions from the Provincial Congress. At the battle of Bunker Hill he was severely wounded, and died the next day.
