[1295] A gratuitous transposition of lines involving the transference of ll. 1404--7 so as to follow 1295b þā hēo tō fenne [eft], and the elimination of the supposedly interpolated ll. 1296-98 was proposed by Joseph, ZfdPh. xxii 393 ff.
