The Death of Wyatt Cardwell, Esq.,formerly well known in political circles as a member of the General Assembly from Charlotte county, and who, for the past two years, has been connected with the management of the Columbian Hotel, in this city, was announced yesterday, on which day his remains were taken to their last resting place from the Monumental Church. Mr. Cardwell had attained the ripe age of 69 years. By birth an Englishman, he was first induced to visit this country by the eccentric John Randolph, of Roanoke, and here he lived till death claimed him — honored, respected and trusted in the land of his adoption. In its palmy days, he was an influential member of the Whig party.
