Geo. W. Johnson, alias Wm. Hooper, was carried before the Mayor yesterday for constantly lying on the sidewalk, in a drunken state. The Mayor ordered the prisoner to exercise his faculties as a member of the chain-gang for sixty days, or find surely for his good behavior. The latter, being an impossibility, was not accomplished, and Johnson was assigned to labor.
