Supposed Murder of a wife by her Husband.

--According to the Oxford, Miss, Mercury, the wife of J. H. Mathews, residing near Springdale, in that vicinity, who was found dead in a well last March, and was supposed at the time to have committed suicide, is now believed to have been foully dealt with. Some suspicious circumstances were whispered about, and coupled with the fact of Matthews having married again in less than three months, have led to his arrest. He and his deceased wife, who were over 40 years old, and had children married, had lived unhappily together.
