"God Bless the Ladies!"

--What should we do without them. Where would be the comfort of our wounded sufferers — the heated brow, the parched lip, the tender words of sympathy, and the thousand touching attentions which emanate so gracefully and naturally from the sex, without their charming presence? They have come to us from all quarters of the South, bringing with them dainties and luxuries of every character which can sooth or relieve the needy, and they are waiting by a thousand bedsides like ministering angles.--We welcome them all.
