Alexandria, July 16.

--Alexander M Flowers, who was arrested on the 8th of August, while making his way outside of our lines, on the charge of being a spy, had a hearing to-day before the Provost Marshal, after which he was sent to Washington. He was formerly a clerk in the Census Bureau, but was discharged on the 5th inst. On the 7th he wrote a letter to Mr Russell, to whom he owed board, stating that he was going to Richmond. On the next day he was arrested.
