When Gen. Lovell arrived in New Orleans' by his own request, he was not saluted. He said: "Gentlemen, keep your powder dry, and spend it on the enemy." Gen. Bragg, commander of the Confederate forces at Pensacola, was on a visit to Mobile, Ala, on the 24th inst. Wm. Hayden was killed in an affray with Joseph Farrell, at Memphis, Tenn., on Tuesday, 23d inst. Corn is selling in South Alabama as low as 40 cents per bushel.
