Serious accident.

--The Brownsville Fonner, of the 7th inst., given the particulars of a serious accident near that place. Messrs. J. W. Jackson and M. C. Hames were out henting deer by means of the fire light, when Mr. Hames came upon Jackson, ‘ "shined"’ the eyes of his mule and shot, killing the male instantly and seriously wounding Mr. Jackson, two shots having penetrated the abdomen. Mr. Jackson at latest accounts was lying in quite a critical condition.
