A Model Watchman.

--Algon Adams, one of the extra night watchmen lately appointed, was arraigned before the Mayor on Saturday, charged with stealing a pistol valued at $12 from John H. Wilson. The weapon was taken from the steam fire-engine house on Christmas night, where Adams had been to sound the alarm bell; and it has since been found in a trunk at his house. The Mayor remanded him for trial on the charge of petty larceny, and admitted him to bail in the sum of $200. He is expelled from the watch, as a matter of course.
