Sent home.

--About 860 of the Yankee prisoners now here were to have been sent down the river towards Newport News yesterday evening, in the a comer Northampton, in charge of Lieut. Turner and Commissary Warner, having been paroled not to fight or aid the enemy until exchanged. They seemed very glad to go. None of the Yankee officers were to be sent with the batch. As the Secretary of War issued orders yesterday morning for the departure of the prisoners, nothing would prevent the measure being carried out save a want of knowledge as to where they should be landed at.
