--Captain Charles P. Bigger, of this city, recently retired from the Confederate service in consequence of a fractured arm received in the service, slipped up on the ice yesterday, on the south side of Main street, near the banks, injuring himself severely about the wounded shoulder and re-opening the wound. He was conveyed to his father's residence, on Broad street, where surgical assistance was called in.
