Mosby's guerrillas.
--A Washington letter of Thursday shows that
Mosby is still hanging around that vicinity:
‘
"Last night,
Mosby's guerrillas came down to Munson's Hill and Bailey's Cross roads, about seven miles from
Washington, and within three or four miles of our fortifications.
They stopped at T. B. Munson's house and took six of his horses, leaving but one.
An unfortunate contraband was taken back to his master.
This is the second night visit
Mr. Munson has had from these depredators and thieves; but this time they omitted to-capture his son, as they did on a former visit.
The guerrillas numbered about thirty.
They were fresh from a conflict with a squad of our cavalry, which they had defeated, leaving two dead and two wounded on the field, and taken the others, with the exception of the
commanding officer, prisoners."
