Hollis, Thomas 1659-1731

Philanthropist; born in England in 1659; was a benefactor of Harvard College, by giving it, altogether, nearly $20,000 in endowments of professorships. He also gave books to the library, and fonts of Hebrew and Greek type for the use of the college. He died in London in February, 1731.
