The Minnie Bullet.

--The following, from the Charleston Mercury, confirms a statement in Monday's Dispatch:

‘ A friend, who is in constant practice with the rifle — and is not very particular whether he uses one of Happoldt's, (Charleston make,) an ordinary State rifle, or a Minnie musket — informs us that the conical ball can be successfully used in any of the common rifles usually found in the South and South west.

If any of our readers will mould some of the conical slugs, and experiment at three times the usual distance, the result will satisfy them of the increased range and accuracy.
