Correspondence of the Richmond Dispatch.
from Louisa.
Louisa. May 30, 1861.
I perceive from your paper that many fathers are sending nearly all their sons to serve the cause of Virginia in her hour of peril.
Louisa county has done her part.
Dr. M. Pendiction has but five children, and he has four sons now in the service of Virginia.
Few men could do more.
Dr. P. was a Union man as long as a ray of hope of saving the Union remained; but now that the die is cast, and Virginia is herself again, he is earnestly battling, as all true Southerners are, for the true cause in which we are engaged.
No anti-secession vote was polled in our county.
Louisa has four companies in the service, and three more nearly fit for service.
