--The Montgomery Advertiser speaks of a man living not a thousand miles from that city, who to avoid the action of the conscript law, deliberately laid one of his hands upon a block and out off the third and fourth fingers. When the enrolling officer comes across that man, his name should be taken, by all means; having been bind a little, he may yet make a good soldier, and learn to shoot well with his remaining fingers.
