Violence to a servant --James Brandon was before the Mayor last Saturday on the charge of assaulting and beating a negro with a slung-shot, without provocation, and with resisting officer Granger and threatening him with a similar dose; and Jeremiah Kelly was also arraigned for interfering with the officer and attempting to prevent the arrest of Brandon. After a hearing, both parties were locked up to answer for the offence before the Hustings Court.
