Presentation of a service of silver to Collector Whitney, of Boston, &c. Boston,March 30. --Collector Whitney, who retires on Monday, was to-day presented with a service of silver plate, costing six hundred dollars, by the employees of the Custom-House. Mr. Goodrich, who assumes office on Monday, has appointed E. W. B. Canning, of Stockbridge, Deputy Collector.
