We have received copies of Philadelphia and Baltimore papers of the 27th instant--two days later. The Sheridan fight — Magnificent election bulletins. The Yankees are still using the Sheridan fights in the Valley for electioneering purposes. Custer, Merritt and Torbett, of the cavalry, and Grover and Ricketts, of the infantry, have all been promoted to major-generals; and "one-eyed" Powell, of the cavalry, has been made a brigadier-general. The following letter has been sent to Sheridan by Lincoln: Executive Mansion, Washington, October 22, 1864.
