A first recruit. --The recruiting service for the army of Georgia is being prosecuted with much vigor throughout that State. The first recruit obtained was J. C. Taylor, late of Virginia, a graduate of the Norfolk Military Academy, and for several years captain of a merchant vessel in the Southern trade. The term of service is five years, and each recruit receives from $11 to $25 per month, with clothing, fuel, quarters and subsistence.
