Rhascus

（*(Ra/skos), was one of the two chieftains of a Thracian clan. In the civil wars of Rome, B. C. 43, 42, he espoused the party of Augustus and M. Antony, while his brother Rhascuporis embraced that of Brutus and Cassius. After the victory of the triumvirs at Philippi, Rhascus obtained from the conquerors his brother's pardon. (Appian, App. BC 4.87, 104, 136.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
