3. A patrician and marshal of the Byzantine circus (
πατπίκιος καὶ λογοθέτης τοῦ δρόμου), wrote an epitaph on a certain Anastasius, who had gained many victories in the horse-races; which is preserved in the Anthology of Planudes. (
