Fire.

--The barn of Major John S. Rowland, in Bartow co., Ala., containing about 3,500 bust els of corn. 800 gallons of Chinese cane syrup, about 30,000 lbs of fodder, and various other valuable articles, was destroyed by fire on the 12th inst. Loss, $25,000. The corn was being given away to soldiers' families.
