What troops the Yankee States have sent into the field.
The
United States "National Almanac," for 1863, published in
Philadelphia, furnishes some interesting statistics concerning the strength of the enemy.
The following table shows the number of troops furnished to the
Yankee army from the commencement of the war up to the 1st of January, 1863:

this large number, it will be observed, is "Besides the three months regiments" in
