False impressment.

--A German, named Philip Breill, intercepted a party on the Mechanicville Turnpike yesterday morning, who was driving three calves to this city, belonging to Mrs. Matilda Hexter, and, upon representing himself as a Government impressment officer, took possession of them, paying to the person having them in charge one thousand dollars, which he said was the price allowed by the Confederate States. Breill aftewards drove the animals to the First Market and disposed of them for fourteen hundred dollars, making in the space of a few hours a profit of four hundred dollars. A warrant has been obtained for Breill's arrest, and the case will undergo judicial investigation.
