RIPARBELLA Etruria, Italy.

Evidence in the area around the Cecina river of a Roman-Etruscan settlement (related to the kilns and salt beds of the Cecina?). Etruscan and Roman tombs, carved into the tufa at Gerbia and Melatina testify to such a settlement and Roman tombs at Belora where large finds were made in the 19th c. The archaeological finds are in the civic museums of Livorno and of Cecina.
