grānātus , a, um, adj. granum,
I.having many grains or seeds: “mala, quae Punica vocantur,” i. e. a pomegranate, Col. 12, 42, 1.—Hence, subst.: grānātum , i, n., a pomegranate: “granata,Col. 12, 46, 2; Plin. 15, 28, 34, § 115; 20, 14, 53, § 149.
