Bacchĭdes

A comedy of Plautus (q.v.), and considered by critics as among his best. The original was possibly the Δὶς ἐξαπατῶν of Menander. The Bacchides was performed in B.C. 189. The first scenes were lost between the fourth and sixth centuries A.D.
