Halirrhothius

Ἁλιρρόθιος). The son of Poseidon and Euryté, who attempted to violate Alcippé, daughter of Ares and Agraulos, but was slain by Ares. Ares was brought to trial by Poseidon for this murder, on the hill at Athens, which was hence called Areopagus, or Hill of Ares.
