Lydias

Ludias (
Λυδίας; Ion.
Λυδίης, Λουδίας). Now Mavronero; a river in Macedonia which rises
in Eordaea, passes Edessa, and, after flowing through the lake on which Pella is situated,
falls into the Axius a short distance from the Thermaic Gulf. In the upper part of its course
it is called the Eordaean River (
Ἐορδαϊκὸς ποταμός) by
Arrian.
