Naïsus, Naïssus

or Naesus (Ναΐσος, Ναϊσσός, Ναῖσσος). The modern Nisch; a town of Upper Moesia, situated on an eastern tributary of the Margus, and celebrated as the birthplace of Constantine the Great, who enlarged and beautified it.
