Rhyndăcus
(
Ῥυνδακός). Now Edrenos; a considerable river of Asia
Minor. Rising in Mount Dindymené, opposite to the sources of the Hermus, it flows
north through Phrygia, then turns northwest, then west, and then north through Lake
Apolloniatis, into the Propontis. From the point where it left Phrygia, it formed the boundary
of Mysia and Bithynia.
