or PAULI'NUS, a lengthened form of Paullus or Paulus, like Albinus of Albus. [ALBINUS, p. 90.] This cognomen only occurs under the empire. For the sake of uniformity we adopt the form Paulinus, but respecting the orthography, see PAULLUS.
