Compliment to the Georgia Twelfth.

We are pleased to notice a merited compliment to the gallantry of the 12th regiment Georgia volunteers, who participated in the late battle of McDowell. Soon after the fight the Ladies' Soldiers' Aid Society, of the Natural Bridge district, in Rockbridge county, remitted to the Rev. Mr. Phillips, of Staunton, one hundred and fifty dollars for the relief of the wounded. This was sent as an expression of the high admiration the ladies of Rockbridge entertained for the dauntless courage exhibited on the battlefield. We are pleased to record such expressions of appreciation on the part of the ladies for true valor on the field of battle.
