Mobile Dec. 28.
--A special dispatch to the Tribune, dated Vicksburg, 28th, says the enemy landed in force — supposed about 25,000--early this morning, seven miles above this place, and attempted to drive our forces from the position occupied by them. They were repulsed three times successfully, and driven back to their gunboats. Our loss is 36 killed and wounded, that of the enemy 350--A number of prisoners, captured in the engagement, have arrived Confidence is felt in our ability to defend the city.
