Police Statistics.

--Much reflection has recently been cast upon the Mayor's police of this city, but we doubt whether, taking into consideration the small number employed, more efficient officers could be secured in any other city on the globe. Among thirty-six night watchmen and eleven day police the following arrests have been made from the 1st of April, 1861, to the 28th of January, 1864:
