Fire.

--The alarm of fire about half-past 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon was caused by the application of the incendiary torch to the stable on the premises of William G. Paine, situated at the intersection of Grace and Franklin and Sixth and Seventh streets. By the timely arrival of the firemen, the flames were extinguished before much damage was done.
