（Ἁλιάκμων). The modern Vistriza. An important river in Macedonia, rising in the Tymphaean mountains, forming the boundary between Eordaea and Pieria, and falling into the Thermaic Gulf. Caesar incorrectly makes it the boundary between Macedonia and Thessaly.
