Quintus, Roman consul in 68, and proconsul in Cilicia in the following year. Being refused a triumph on his return to Rome, he remained outside the city till the Catilinarian conspiracy broke out in 63, when the Senate sent him to Faesulae to watch the movements of C. Mallius or Manlius, Catiline's general (Sulla , Cat. 32).
