JOVIS MONS

JOVIS MONS (Mongri, near A mpurias), a spur of the Pyrenees in Spain, running out into the Mediterranean near the frontier of Gaul. The step-like terraces which its face presented were called Scalae Herculis. (Mela, 2.6.5.)
