LARNUM
LARNUM (
Tordera), a small coast river in the territory of the LAEËTANI, in Hispania Tarraconensis, falling into the sea between Iluro and Blanda. (
Plin. Nat. 3.3. s. 4.)
It has been inferred that there was a town of the same name on the river, from Pliny's mention of the LARNENSES in the conventus of Caesaraugusta: but it is plain that the Laeëtani belonged to the conventus of Tarraco. (Ukert, vol. ii. pt. 1. p. 456, assigns these Larnenses to the Arevacae.)
