LONCIUM

LONCIUM (Lienz), a place in the south of Noricum, on the right bank of the river Dravus, at the point where it receives the Isel. (Itin. Ant. p. 279.) The whole district about Lienz abounds in Roman antiquities. (Gruter, Inscript. p. 267. 9; Muchar, Noricum, p. 254.)
