PIENGI´TAE (Πιεγγῖται, Ptol. 3.5.20), a people in European Sarmatia, supposed by Schafarik to be the inhabitants of the river Piena, which falls into the Pripjät near Pinsk (Slawische Alterthümer, vol. i. p. 207.)
