The intelligence from Fairfax, brought yesterday by the Central train, presents no new feature of importance. There is no confirmation of the reported advance of the enemy upon our lines, and no fight had taken place, except the usual exchange of compliments between the pickets, which has proved fatal in two or three instances on both sides.
