Washington, Dec. 2.

--A Washington dispatch says that Secretary Wells is making arrangements to prevent any further out-rages in British waters by Confederate privateers.

The steamer Nashville, it is expected, will be overhauled by Federal vessels.

It is also reported that Col. Kerrigan, of the 12th New York regiment has been tried by court-martial for treason and sentenced to be shot. The warrant has been signed by Lincoln. Col. Kerrigan is a member of Congress from New York city.
